What is Google’s PubSubHubbub and How does it work?

Recently you may have read or heard about Google’s PubSubHubbub Protocol and wondered what was this about. Well, its a dorky name (as admitted by the Google developers themselves), but its a really useful new technology developed by our friends at Google. You can call it Hubbub in short or “PuSH” as its getting known around the web.
