Get New York Times On Your Desktop With The New Times Reader 2.0 App – Its Your Digital Newspaper

NYT Times Reader New York Times is one of my favorite publication, both online and offline. They may not be the first to break a news, but I like the fact that they are always reassuringly correct about what they write.

New York Times have launched a desktop application that recreates the feeling of reading a newspaper in print on your computer. The application has been designed in Adobe Air and provides several interesting ways to browse the days news.

New York Times – Times Reader 2.0 Features:

Times Reader 2.0 enables The New York Times Company to reach digital readers in new ways while simulating the design, layout and typographical experiences of the printed medium. Since it uses Adobe Air, it works on all platforms like Windows, Mac and Linux.

  • In the settings section of the Times Reader you can set up to 7 days of archives to be kept within the application. That way you can easily read previous issues and catch up on what you have missed.
  • Browse the news by headlines, by sections, even just by pictures.
  • The days news are stored in the application, but you can comment to the internet and the reader downloads the latest news updates
  • While the famed Times crossword puzzle may not be easy, the ability to erase and change your answers certainly is. No pencil required, you can even reveal a part of the word or the whole puzzle.
