Oh yes – Flashgot is the one who started this concept. While flashgot worked at extracting anything flash from websites -these addons focused on videos, since that is the most popular content in flash on the internet.

This is a very useful list. Its funny you said Flashgot is the grandpa of all these plugins, since I have used it before for extracting flash files from YouTube.

But these other addons have a lot of features which different users may need – like I need the one which lets me convert videos on the fly. I needed to do that offline, but with this I can do it right there and get the download in desired format. Thats just great.
